We’ve been spending a lot time at our home in Lake Havasu lately for a change of scenery- I guess that’s one of the silver linings of virtual school. Whenever we are there, I challenge myself to a play game I like to call “Find cute clothes at @walmart ”- Perfect for #FrugalFridays!
I have to say if you are willing to search, you can actually find some cute pieces like this tie-dye T-shirt I scored for $9.98! I’ve always been a big proponent of mixing high and low so I’ll pair a T-shirt like this with some of my good jeans and bold accessories to balance to look. Being a stylist I spend a ton of time in malls and stores and picked up this little nugget of wisdom along the way... @freepeople is one of my go to’s and as luck would have it, @macys online and some brick and mortars sell Free People and it is almost always on sale. I bought the henley in this picture for $21 at Macy’s while it was selling for $68 at Free People. Sidebar here for a moment, I love a good henley as an alternative to a plain old T-shirt! So my big take away is if you find something you love at Free People (and who wouldn’t) check out Macy’s before you buy! If you know me, you know that I love both puppies and hats 👒🐶 and while we could all use more puppies these days, today- let’s talk about hats. It is the easiest way to turn an outfit from drab to fab in addition to hiding roots, grease and grays or as I like to call it Covid hair.
I can’t tell you the amount of times I have had friends or clients say, oh I could never pull off a hat like you do. WRONG! Hats are definitely all about attitude so when you put one on you have to own it. If you think you can rock it, trust me you can. And if this past year has taught me anything, at the end of the day, do you really care what anyone thinks about you?!
