Is there any sale better than the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?! Fall is right around the corner and we are all ready to trade in our sundresses and sandals for sweaters and boots. The best part- all these great new fall pieces are on sale! I’ve edited some of my favorite must have pieces below. Move quickly, these beauties will sell out before the first autumn leaf falls!
A black leather jacket is an absolute must in every woman’s wardrobe. Real leather is worth the investment as the fit just gets better and better with time. You can pair this Chelsea28 moto jacket with everything from a cocktail dress to dark denim and a silk blouse.
Another classic piece, a black blazer is a staple that will never go out of style. I am nuts for this Good American Exec Blazer. The double breasted cut is super slenderizing and is available in both regular and plus sizes.
Okay, now that you have your staples, let’s talk fun outwear. Jackets can be real outfit makers and this Bernardo Teddy Coat checks that box! The faux fur is super on trend but the classic checkered print in a neutral hue balances it out making it a piece you can wear time and time again.
If you know me, you know I love me some leopard. It is a neutral in my book and pairs with almost everything. This J.Crew Sweater Bomber has a softer side with it’s triblend knit and is available in regular and plus sizes.
Run, do not walk to get this Barefoot Dreams CozyChic cardigan. These babies sell out every year and after buying one, I can see why. They are impossibly soft and it feels like being wrapped up in a blanket all day. A no brainer for lounging around the house, it also works over any outfit for running around town as well.
This Topshop Ribbed Cardigan is the ultimate layering piece. The length is just right and the cut won’t overwhelm your shape. Available in four different neutrals that pair with everything. I opted for the camel color as it is chic when mixed with other neutrals but plays beautifully with bold colors as well.
If you have seen me wearing jeans in the last year, there’s a 99% chance they are a pair of Topshop Jaime jeans. I am obsessed with this super affordable denim. The high waist cut is sheer perfection and the stretch is pure magic on your buns. I have recommended these to girlfriends of all sizes and they all love them. Fit tip, they run bit small, so size up but keep in mind they do have some stretch.
Cropped flares are a big trend in denim and I am on board. These Mother Insider Two Step jeans hit just right to make your waist look teeny tiny and the raw hem adds a cool factor. They look fabulous with any shoe from cool sneakers to booties in any print or pattern. These also run small so size up here too.
Everyone needs a nude bootie in their shoe game and these Steve Madden Kaylah’s are a great option. The color is a prefect nude- not too pink, not too brown. The ankle slit and pointed toe also helps lengthen legs and who doesn’t want that?! They also come in black and a few fun animal prints as well.
These Nautralizer Platform Hikers are the perfect marriage of fashion and function. The older I get, the more comfort I want out of my shoes but still want to be on trend. Enter the most comfortably and chic combat boots on the planet! I rock mine with everything from denim to leggings. Speaking of leggings….
If you have not tried these Spanx faux leather leggings, what are you waiting for?! Ladies, these are Spanx meant to be seen! They suck you in in all the right places and look amazing paired with well, everything! Expect the fit to be a bit tight, after all they are Spanx.
These Zella Joggers are the perfect hybrid pant for lounging and doing. The slim silhouette makes them more chic than sweats and the comfort fit makes wearing them all day easy breezy.
Layered gold necklaces are the easiest way to glam up any outfit. Even loungewear looks chic and like you tried. This Adina’s Jewels is gorgeous on its own or perfect as a base to layer upon. And with an Anniversary Sale price of under $30, you can afford a lot more layers:)
My all time favorite accessory is a hat. It can hide a myriad of trouble beneath (roots, greys, grease etc) and makes you look chic AF whilst doing so. The number one comment I get form women is they lack the confidence to rock a hat. The advice I give them? Put it on like you own it and let it go! This Nordstrom satin trim hat add adds instant edge to any look.
If you’re gun-shy to try a new trend, I always suggest starting with accessories. This All Saints Crossbody bag is a great way to dip your toe into the animal print pool. The color palette is classic and I swear, goes with everything! The internal compartments make it easy to keep all your belongings super organized.
The practical side of me is a sucker for a great backpack. To have your hands free while still carrying your essentials in a stylish way is of paramount importance for a woman on the go. This All Saints Convertible backpack is a winner as a bag or backpack and comes in a beautiful army green as well.
Run, don’t walk as many of the pieces in this Anniversary Sale sell out ASAP. And don’t you and Nordstrom deserve a little something nice for another year together?!
