Today is the official start date of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale for everyone and time is of the essence! With all the pre-sale dates for cardholders, many pieces are sold out. But alas, I have scoured the sale for those can’t miss looks still available. Just don’t wait too long; these steals will be gone before the first sip of your first pumpkin latte.
I know, I know, I sound like a broken record, but I cannot emphasize enough how important a leather jacket is when building one’s wardrobe. Both the classic Topshop Moto and the fun BLANKNYC Blazer are sure bets for fall and can be styled so many ways even Fonzie would be impressed.

There is nothing more Fall to me than a cozy sweater, and while cozy is great, I still want to be fashionable. This Leith Off the Shoulder sweater is a great way to feel sexy without looking like you’re trying too hard. This Madewell Side Tie Cardigan adds a chic edge to any look. Style tip here, since the cardigan is meant to be boxy, keep the bottom half fitted in skinny jeans or leggings.
Teddy Coats were the jacket last fall and they aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. I love an ivory jacket in the winter- to me it is beyond chic. The long silhouette on this Sam Edelman number makes it super flattering while feeling like you’re walking around in a blanket.
If you’re a fan of winter sports, or just winter in general, a puffer coat is a must. I like to stand out on a mountain while I am slowly working my way down a green to my family that has been awaiting my descent for several minutes so this silver Sam Edelman puffer is perfect for me- but it also comes in a more inconspicuous black if that is more your speed.
One of my favorite things about Fall is letting my pedicure go to pot and wearing boots. I love a great accent boot like these Marc Fisher Snakeskin Booties as they can transform a simple sweater and jeans into “a look”. As I age (yikes!) I am also a sucker for comfort shoes so these Dr. Scholl’s Platform boots are a no-brainer for me when it comes to mixing fashion and function.
If you haven’t tried Zella’s leggings yet, don’t wait another day. These Live In High Waist pants sculpt you in all the right places with strategically placed seams. At less than half the price of other athletic leggings, you can splurge on a pair, or two:) If a more slouchy silhouette is more your scene, the Zella Live In Joggers are a dream come true. Their jogger vibe in a streamlined cut screams, “I may be comfy, but I haven’t given up”.

White sneakers have become the little black dress of footwear, meaning you can pretty much wear them anytime with anything. I love these Madewell Delia Sneakers as they can be styles so many ways. Need proof? See below…

With not much else to do on the horizon, I decided to get a jumpstart on Holiday shopping. Spoiler alert, if you’re on my Christmas list, you’re probably getting these super soft B.P. Jammies, available in several different patterns and styles.
A great gift for anyone on your list, from a teen to a teacher, this Kendra Scott Charm Choker is a perfect necklace. Dainty on its own or holding it down as a base in a layered look, this chain (available in gold and silver) is a home run.
Of the many things I have learned during this pandemic, one take away is just how long I can get away with not washing my hair. This Oribe Dry Shampoo helps me clock in at 4 days. It magically sucks up all root oil, adds volume and adds a heavenly fragrance.
Okay ladies, T minus 13 days before these deals vanish just like my summer vacation plans. Happy shopping!
